our first batch of pre-spring 2011 womens styles have hit the floor to start this week off with a bang. a strong selection of velvet by graham & spencer styles for our girls that will help them layer up for the rest of the cooler months and welcome the spring to victoria.

always a favorite amongst our best still life friends, and all of our girls that have worked here over the years, velvet by graham & spencer offers the perfect, light weight slubby tees, shirts, wraps and dresses all made in los angeles. over the past couple of seasons we've seen some especially beautiful gathering from them in tanks, dresses & scoop-neck shirts, and the sell through on these ultra-flattering styles has been super fast.

a long-standing favorite at still life with staff & friends both, velvet offers clean, fashionable basics with an attention to fit, colouring and texture. for fall we're thrilled to see a beautiful variety of colours playing with navys, browns & greys as well as a burnout feather print and gorgeous black shaded lace-backed tank. in addition a trio of cashmere wraps completes this first autumn delivery from the los angeles designed & produced brand.

jenny graham and toni spencer, designers and creators of velvet, long known for its t-shirts and dresses, introduced a luxury collection called "graham & spencer" in fall 2006. their focus is on new shapes and contrast of textures, materials include soft, light-weight fleece contrasted with silk charmeuse, silk habotai, and feather weight laundered wools.

jenny graham explains, "we've been feeling that there is a real void in the marketplace for this kind of loo: something contemporary, luxurious, yet young and hip at the same time."
