the good hearts over at vancouver's native shoes recently donated shoes to an organization that specializes in delivering footwear to children in need called shuzz. native shoes were distributed to children in port au prince, haiti which was devastated by a 7.0 earthquake in 2010. still life is hoping to bring some of that good cheer native spread to children around the world, by introducing our favourite native shoes in children's sizing this summer:

the native shoes fitzsimmons has arrived at still life boutique in victoria, bc and we couldn't be more excited. this has been easily the most anticipated arrival for fall 2010 with phonecalls daily from across the country with people inquiring about their expected arrival, what colours, what sizes, etc.
here's the info: we just received the fitzsimmons from native shoes in store in the following colourways: academy blue, bottle cap gray, zucchini green & trail brown. they're all sick modern colours from what has become the most modern footwear brand in the game. the fitzsimmons is a throwback 70s street-hiker laceup boot with a neoprene 'socky' insert that can be worn barefoot or with a sock and then simple rinsed out afterwards to keep tidy. wear these things oceanside, lakeside, trailside, puddleside, poolside, barside, patioside or gardenside - THEY'RE AMAZING.
we don't expect them to last very long, though we have additional drops coming soon (and yes, there will be full sizing for our girls coming very very soon, keep checking and keep it lite!)

our post this morning gave any victorians visiting the mainland this beautiful weekend a destination to visit and items to seek out, but what about all you CRD faithful staying in the garden city catching all the sun this weekend? we've got ideas! this weekend will definitely be dominated by visits to the beachfronts and parks in and around the capital region, and a certain swap meet that you will most definitely find mr matt and mr jordan of still life scouring in the early hours of sunday morning.
