The sun is out and Issue #46 of our favourite little Australian magazine, Frankie, is available and at Still Life For Her. Inside they're exploring the strange and the beautiful (and a few bits and bobs in between). The strange case of pink-for-girls and blue-for-boys. The beauty of outdated wallpaper. They're roadtesting cake mixes – and licking the bowl clean – while taking a look at iconic movie mums. They have a chat with some disabled creatives about abilities and art, meet a guy who likes to disguise himself with animal masks, take a trip to Istanbul and hear the fast-forward love story of two people who became instant parents only seven or so months after their first 'date'. Plus all the usual art, fashion, craft, music and quirk, and loads of things to make you smile and laugh.

Grab an iced drink and the newest issue of Frankie Magazine and head out into this beautiful sun!

Frankie is a national bi-monthly based in Australia, aimed at women (and men) looking for a magazine that’s as smart, funny, sarcastic, friendly, cute, rude, arty, curious and caring as they are. Frankie is dedicated to celebrating music, fashion, art, craft, photography, and pop culture’s quirkier aspects.

For Frankie Magazine #43 it’s all about originals and individuals: people who push the envelope (and might get the occasional paper cut). There’s a lady from Christchurch who won’t let her city’s continued rumblings get in the way of her boutique dreams, a chat with maverick director John Waters, a Queensland painter who’s quit her day job to let art pay the rent, some music lovers who’ve started their own pirate radio station and an Australian diplomat who conducts peace talks with a guitar.

PLUS a very special jam recipe and one-off Frankie stickers to pop on your jars once you’re done, a waltz through the history of flowers, lots of pretty fashions from our favourite local designers and all the usual laughs, crafts, arty bits, musical goodness and – for our biggest ever issue – more nice stuff than you can shake a stick at.

Also in #42 The Grates dress up in pretty fashions, DIY costumes to make and wear, the sweetest adoption story you ever did read, a skipping club, rhyming slang, Bon Iver, cool campervans, television's most awesome flatmates (may include gratuitious Golden Girls references) and a trip to the real town of Twin Peaks. Plus there's all the usual rants, funnies, arty bits and niceness.

With some new mid-century modern teak furnishings installed at the new Still Life For Her, the Still Life reading department is beginning to take shape. Australia's Frankie Magazine #42 is now available at Still Life For Her.
