Freshjive hits the racks at Still Life For Him just in time for the nicest weekend we've had all summer! Consciously moving away from their skate-boarder, surfer and graffiti roots, Rick Klotz's Freshjive has been thoughtfully re-imagined as a more modern, designer, contemporary men's line while still staying true to its street culture senses and on-point pricing. Freshjive balances comfortably forward fashion (without trying to scare off loyal fans) with heritage staples and clean design, resulting in a fresh, new look for a brand that has been competing strongly within the ready-to-wear men's fashion game for 20 years.

Autumn 2011 pulls inspiration from classic men's looks, offering unique details and fabrications to give them the proper Freshjive treatment. Simple charcoal henleys wear well under classic chambray shirting with woven dark navy colour blocking. Freshjive's always-impressive knitwear lineup offers chunky zippered cardigans and cable knit button-front vests to get prepared for cooler days to come.

A unique fit at the new Still Life For Him, Freshjive brings some strong autumn options into the store moving forward. Look for more from this iconic LA line throughout the season and check the shots to the right to see what's available now.

rick klotz's de-branded freshjive has been one of the our casual favourites this spring at still life. on-trend fits, styles (and quality) paired with very approachable price points have resulted in a line that has made its mark this past year and comfortably surpassed any comparable brands in the store. from styling of the lookbooks to founder rick klotz's no-brand branding (de-branded) freshjive has been a tremendous re-interpretation of the iconic los angeles-based lifestyle brand.

purposely moving away from their skate-boarder, surfer and graffiti roots, freshjive has been thoughtfully re-imagined as a more modern, designer, contemporary men's line while still staying true to its street culture senses and on-point pricing. freshjive balances comfortably forward fashion (without trying to scare off loyal fans) with heritage staples and clean design, resulting in a fresh, new look for a brand that has been competing strongly within the ready-to-wear men's fashion game for 20 years.

one of our last spring/summer mens arrivals to take us away into the beautiful garden city summer weather, this drop of freshjive includes additional jersey tanks, simply-detailed ultrasoft tees and beach-ready pullover linen shirting and hoodies. this collection looks like the styling our guys will need for sunny days along dallas road, beachfires at sombrio beach, or bike rides through the outskirts of downtown. summer freshjive styles are now available at still life.

our first spring arrival from rick klotz's de-branded freshjive showed up this week courtesy of the los angeles-based lifestyle brand. we started this past autumn with the de-branded, re-interpreted freshjive collection and had a tremendous response to this new incarnation of the classic california brand.

freshjive has thoughtfully moved away from their skate-boarder, surfer and graffiti roots and towards a more modern designer, contemporary men's line while still staying true to its street culture senses and on-point pricing. freshjive balances comfortably forward fashion (without trying to scare off loyal fans) with heritage staples and clean design, resulting in a fresh, new look for a brand that has been competing strongly within the ready-to-wear men's fashion game for 20 years.

arriving early this spring with a tight little batch of graphic tees, woven shirts and spring tank tops. freshjive for spring 2011 is looking even better than it did this past autumn when it first hit the racks at still life. this first selection is tight, with more freshjive on the way in the next few weeks - stay locked on the blog or our facebook page for updates when new styles arrive from one of our hottest new brands.

de-branded freshjive autumn/winter 2010

rick klotz started freshjive in 1989 while completing art school in los angeles, california. influenced by skate, snow, surf, early 80s LA punk and late 80s rap. seeing a void within the skate/surf fashion world in california, klotz started freshjive, "figuring it out along the way". move ahead some 20 years and freshjive is a staple amongst the modern american skate/surf/hiphop scene offering a full line of garments season after season.

starting this fall a new "de-branded" freshjive hits the racks at still life for the boys. no longer using their brand logo or name on any of their product, including all labelling and t-shirt designs, rick klotz & the freshjive crew have noticably removed any allusion to the freshjive name from anywhere on any products continuing forward. from klotz, "since i started freshjive, i have had a personal conflict with this business of 'branding'... i am in the business of promoting the company brand yet personally i am not interested in items for the brand name. it's a bit of a quagmire with me because i hate the culture of promoting a brand yet i enjoy designing clothes and tee shirt designs."

freshjive's autumn 2010 collection is a nice, tight offering to start out their relationship with still life. slick monochromatic designs in black, grey, gunmetal & olive merchandise well together and use of modern style trends (chambray shirting/scarves, contrast shirting) result in a clean, well-produced, on point brand for us to move through autumn with. freshjive de-branded is now available at still life boutique.
