handmade in new york, land by land candles are the newest addition to our highly popular sundries collection at still life. in early 2009, japanese-born, new york-based friends kanoko mizuo and tomoyo kamio collaborated on a small atelier. one part hair salon, the space was soon filled with sundry things they liked in common. using only all-natural fragrances, pure essential oils, and cotton wicks, they began working on a line of candle scents tailored to men. after a strong response from both men and women, they began blending uncommon floral compositions with masculine touches of musk and sandalwood.
