Another delivery from Erik Prowell's up-and-coming, ready-to-explode Portland based mens & womenswear brand Bridge & Burn showed up today at Still Life For Him & For Her. Founded in 2009 in PDX Bridge & Burn has stayed focussed on quality shirting and outerwear for the most part since their inception.

This drop for Spring 2012 brings some more women's dresses, tanks & tunics into Still Life For Her as well as the first men's bottoms (shorts and swimwear) to show up at Still Life For Him from the brand. Priced well with meticulous attention to fit and detail, Bridge & Burn is inspired by their Northwest roots and has thusfar stayed dedicate to functional, clean design resulting in timeless, high quality garments with modern sensibilities. This brand has had complete sell through on all garments we've stocked since September with little to no advertising and fairly limited word of mouth - the sales are directly correlated to the cleanlieness of the Bridge & Burn designs and quality of fabrics and finishing.

Our debut autumn season with Portland, Oregon's Bridge & Burn saw an almost unprecedented sell through on outerwear styles For Him & For Her as we watched the young brand surpass even our most seasoned outerwear brands at Still Life. Clean, functional shirting and outerwear with a tie to their Pacific Northwest roots, Bridge & Burn became a staff, and customer favourite in a matter of days. Working with designer/owner Erik Prowell in the US last week on a work trip, we were able to get our first Spring 2012 delivery packed and shipped while we were on the road and came home to boxes of fantastic shirting, jackets and women's dress tunics waiting for us upon our return.

Bridge & Burn was founded in 2009 and is based in Portland, OR. Inspired by their Northwest roots and dedicated to functional, clean design, the goal is to create timeless, high quality garments with modern sensibilities. We've been working with fitting Bridge & Burn into the Still Life roster for a couple seasons now, and Autumn 2011 sees a very strong debut of the Portland-based jacket & shirting line both For Him & For Her.

Representing their Pacific Northwest climate tremendously, Bridge & Burn has arrived with a variety of beautifully fitting waxed cotton and canvas outwear, wool coats and strong, wearable shirting ideal for both the city dweller and outdoor enthusiast. Inspired by his father and grandfather's camping and hunting gear, designer Erik Prowell liked the heritage of the styles they'd owned, but wanted something more wearable for city life without looking like an outdoorsman.

There's few styles more practical on Vancouver Island than waxed outerwear and wool-blend shirting to layer underneath - both of which arrived this weekend from Bridge & Burn. A range of styles have arrived at Still Life For Him & For Her, from waxed hooded outwear and wool/chambray shirting to canvas car coats and hooded wool jackets. This is one of the special new brands to debut this season at the stores, and we are more than proud to being introducing Victoria to Portland's Bridge & Burn.
