eat.shop city guides spring 2011
Still Life February 5, 2011, 3:43 pmas much as all of us at still life absolutely adore victoria, british columbia - every once and a while work or play takes us out of the garden city. before heading to new york last year, matt & kim packed their lists made of insider must-visit spots that they've acquired over the years. miriam & jordan compiled a notebook's worth of secret spots all over portland, oregon last summer during their trip down across the border. thankfully, just in time for jordan, matt & kim's trip down to los angeles, we've received our first batch of eat.shop guides for a half dozen of our favorite cities around north america (including los angeles, new york & portland).
the eat.shop guides focus on cities both big and obvious (nyc and los angeles) and small and not-so-obvious (austin and portland). the folks publishing the eat.shop guides love one-of-a-kind, worth going out of the way to visit, independently owned local businesses. though it’s a uniquely american sentiment to think bigger is better, they believe smaller is special—and they’ve dedicated an entire series of city guides to this premise. to help you navigate your way through hundreds of unique, authentic, local businesses that range from eye popping and brand new to deeply patinaed and way off the beaten path, we've begun with carrying the eat.shop guides for the following cities: austin, texas, los angeles, california, montreal, quebec, new york city, new york, portland, oregon, san francisco, california, seattle, washington & vancouver, british columbia.
