rvca mens & womens fall styles have arrived strong at still life boutique. the california skate/surf/fashion brand always fills out our racks nicely with well-priced, well-designed casual streetwear for our victoria friends & family.

the women's side shapes up with some beautiful muddy blues, browns & merlots balanced against muted greys & mauves. a great break of drapey casual tops as well as cute fit sweaters & tops with collegiate inspiration make going back to school affordable & well-styled. for the men we've continued with a killer selection of the rvca aritst series graphic tees, a great long sleeve polo with woven neck detail, a wool bomber jacket, khaki field jacket and the classic romero jean in both denim and a brown stretch corduroy.

our post this morning gave any victorians visiting the mainland this beautiful weekend a destination to visit and items to seek out, but what about all you CRD faithful staying in the garden city catching all the sun this weekend? we've got ideas! this weekend will definitely be dominated by visits to the beachfronts and parks in and around the capital region, and a certain swap meet that you will most definitely find mr matt and mr jordan of still life scouring in the early hours of sunday morning.

we wanted to outline some of the essential summer pieces we've got in store right now that will ensure a weekend getaway/hideout in style. for our girls we've got a great batch of bensimon sneakers to dress with your summer dresses or cropped summer jeans. our lily & jae spring collection is looking incredible with some of the new pieces jude delivered last week, and topped off with a cute brixton summer hat her denim dresses are adorable. our still life men have their pick of the litter with the amazing pieces we've got available moving into the warmer months. a full selection of ray-ban sunglasses to keep your eyes hidden behind their dark shades while you're at the beach, and fjällräven backpacks that can fit beachwear, beers, and all your other secret stuffs while you're riding around town on your bike wearing your official new summer shoe from native.

we'll be spinning our favorite new records over the weekend from jonsi (go), broken social scene (forgiveness rock record), lcd soundsystem (this is happening) and sharon jones & the dap kings (i learned the hard way) so come down and say hi if you're staying local this weekend!

we get through a lot of premium denim at still life. in a city like victoria a great pair of jeans will last you all day every day for years and years. our women's denim display is currently overflowing with denim styles for all our girls ready to get into a new pair of jeans for spring 2010.

for us, spending a little more on jeans works when you realize the fit and longevity a pair of premium denim is offering you. thousands of hours go in to designing the fits offered by denim companies like joe's, acne or nudie, and the quality of construction will have you returning for another pair once you realize you've worn a new jean for 2 weeks straight. getting into premium denim on the women's side we're seeing about 2-3% stretch material woven in with all denim to ensure a nice, snug fit on the thights & bum and allowing for give in the jeans without bagging out and looking frumpy after only a couple of wears.

this spring we're seeing the takeover of the denim legging! joe's jeans and genetic denim are both offering denim legging options at still life, with even more stretch fabric woven through to allow for an ultra snug fit to be styled with an oversized boyshirt or cropped up with a pair of flats or gladiators come summer.
