For Him: Timberland Abington Collection Spring 2012
Still Life February 26, 2012, 10:54 amThe Timberland Abington Collection for Spring 2012 was inspired by a time when the mountains of New Hampshire were looked at as obstacles to avoid rather than challenges to conquer. It was inspired by the silhouettes, styles and materials of footwear similar to those they could have worn while on the mountain, and those they had on back at the lodge while strategizing their course to the top. Spring 12 is a nod to the pioneers that created an entire outdoor industry in New England that still thrives to this day, just by climbing a mountain.
We've found the Timberland Abington Collection to be exceptionally well-suited to Still Life For Him, with styles from the legendary boot brand selling through season after season. At an approachable pricepoint, Abington footwear pairs tremendous quality (Horween Leathers and Vibram Soles) with modern ruggedness & ideal styling for Vancouver Island. A small, focussed offshoot of the Timberland parent company, Abington Collection offers just a handful of styles per season, keeping distribution limited to shops around North America similar to Still Life. Currently available for Spring 2012 from Abington include:
- Lodge Chukka: Classic ankle-height hiking-inspired footwear from a time when exploring mountains was just beginning. Contemporized styling from a desert boot inspiration, with full-grain Horween leather uppers and linings, and Vibram soles.
