born and raised in the mountains outside of vancouver, british columbia, erin templeton started making leather accessories in 1999, while studying shoemaking at cordwainer's college in london, england. in 2002, she had the amazing opportunity to rent the boiler room of vancouver's modernize tailors, and then when the tailors relocated in the spring of 2007, the chance to open her own storefront/studio in their historic location came to be.

erin has kept the traditions of the space alive, continuing to make products locally, by hand. all designs are lovingly made in-house, in either new or recycled leathers. erin's life-long fascination with vintage informs designs that defy trends and transcend eras. minimal hardware and simple, strong construction allow people to adjust, change, and make pieces their own. it is her hope that each piece is able to be a life long friend, and able to mix freely with new and vintage pieces.

still life is happy to introduce erin templeton leather bags & accessories for spring 2011 in victoria. merchandising within our four walls beautifully, erin's designs are full of character and individuality while remaining aesthetically clean & simple. most all of her bags feature little or no hardware design, making the bags timeless and wearable over one arm or across the body. erin's ultra soft vintage and new leather options for each piece make them luxurious to the touch, yet durable and functional enough for everyday use, available in beautiful seasonal colourways.

in addition to the wonderful erin templeton bags in stock, we've also receive a variety of erin's small change purses and her beautifully simple writer leather covers for your notes, thoughts, dates and memories. they fit a moleskin notebook and come with a sweet little library pencil!
